Auroop R. Ganguly

Auroop R. Ganguly is a distinguished professor in the College of Engineering — and the director of AI for climate and sustainability in the Institute for Experiential AI — at Northeastern University, based in Boston. He holds affiliate appointments in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences and the College of Social Sciences and Humanities. Ganguly works in artificial intelligence and complexity sciences — specifically machine learning, nonlinear dynamics, extreme value theory, and network science — for challenges pertaining to the sciences of water, weather, and earth systems, as well as resilience engineering of infrastructures, transportation, water, and urban systems.
