Dr Emma Luke is a designer, maker and academic working at the intersection of industrial design, wearables, immersive experiences and HCI. Emma has exhibited her work at Paris Fashion Week, Melbourne Design week and in Vogue Magazine. She is passionate about ambient interventions that challenge digital obsolescence, and the loss of lasting cultural narratives. Emma’s work explores the encoding of value through; data, materiality, aesthetics and personalisation to inform the development of holistic artifacts and experiences that foreground human and ecological health and wellbeing. In January 2026 Emma commenced as Research Lead in the Centre for Digital Ecosystems (CODE) in the School of Design.
