简介

John is a Lecturer in Cyber Security in the School of Computing at Newcastle University. He is an associate of the PETRAS National Centre of Excellence for IoT Systems Cybersecurity. His research focuses on cyber security, privacy, smart buildings and socio-technical systems, and more recently on computing education, particularly the teaching and assessment of security programming in the age of Generative AI. He serves as Director of Education and Undergraduate Degree Programme Director.
