Marwan Krunz's research is in the broad area of wireless networking and communications, with emphasis on resource allocation, protocol design and security. He has been involved in projects related to 5G and NextG systems, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, directional millimeter wave-band communications, dynamic spectrum access, AI and machine learning for RF signal detection, classification, and synthesis; coexistence of heterogeneous wireless technologies over shared bands, full-duplex transmissions, ultra-low-latency mobile edge computing for V2X communications, network slicing, physical-layer wireless security, MIMO systems, energy management in IoT and wireless sensor networks, and streaming over wireless links.
