Mert R. Sabuncu received the B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey, in 2001, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University, Princeton, NJ, in 2006. He completed postdoctoral training at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is currently a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University and Cornell Tech, with a secondary appointment in the Department of Radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine. His research lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence, signal processing, and biomedical imaging, with a particular emphasis on Artificial Intelligence for Medical Imaging.
