简介

Michael J. Shelley is the Lilian and George Lyttle Professor of Applied Mathematics at NYU's Courant Institute, with joint appointments in Mathematics, Neural Science, and Mechanical Engineering. He co-directs the Applied Mathematics Laboratory. His research focuses on complex phenomena in active matter, biophysics, and complex fluids, as well as fluid-structure problems in swimming and flying, using mathematical modeling, analysis, and simulation in close collaboration with experimentalists.
