简介

I am Professor of Social Computing in Open Lab, part of the School of Computing and Newcastle University's interdisciplinary research centre in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). With thirty years of experience as a human-centred design researcher, my research focuses on the human-centred design of socially engaged digital technologies, including Digital Civics addressing health, education, participatory democracy, ageing, and social justice. I am known for work with John McCarthy on experience-centred design, co-authoring 'Technology as Experience' (2004), 'Experience-centred design' (2010), and 'Taking [A]Part' (2015).
