Samir R. Das is a Professor and Chair of the Computer Science Department at Stony Brook University. He directs the Wireless Networking and Simulation Lab (WINGS lab). His research interests include mobile and wireless networking, specialized networks such as ad hoc, mesh, RFID, sensor, and vehicular networks, as well as network measurements, analytics, performance modeling, and simulations.
