Korolova is an assistant professor in the department of computer science with a joint appointment in Princeton's School of Public and International Affairs. She is part of Princeton's Center for Information Technology Policy. Prior to joining Princeton in 2022 she was an assistant professor of computer science at the University of Southern California, a research scientist at Google and a privacy adviser at Snap, Inc. Korolova studies societal impacts of algorithms and machine learning, and develop and deploy algorithms and technologies that enable data-driven innovations while preserving privacy and fairness. She also designs and performs algorithm and AI audits.
