Alex Mogilner is a Professor of Mathematics and Biology at NYU's Courant Institute. His research focuses on mathematical modeling of cellular processes, particularly the mechanics of cell movement and division. He develops analytical and computational models of the mitotic spindle and motile cells, collaborating closely with experimental biologists to understand molecular machines.
