Professor of Integrative Bioinformatics at Newcastle University, co-director of the Interdisciplinary Computing and Complex BioSystems (ICOS) research group. Research focuses on data integration in bioinformatics, applying strategies to systems and synthetic biology, microbial genomics, and metagenomics. Interested in model-driven design for synthetic biology and developing data standards like SBOL.
