Dr Richard Lui is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computing at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received the Faculty Award in Teaching (Outstanding Award – Individual) in 2016, the Faculty Award in Teaching (Outstanding Award – Team) in 2022, and the Faculty Award in Teaching (Merit Award – Team) in 2023 at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He has extensive experience in adopting innovative pedagogies and developing educational platforms. Dr. Lui has led multiple UGC-funded projects at the small-scale, cross-departmental, and institutional levels on the development of innovative learning pedagogies, game-based learning, a cloud-based virtual laboratory platform for software engineering and data analytics education, and GenAI-powered intelligent tutoring systems.
