About

I am a former Computer Science and Mathematics teacher from Austria experienced in teaching 10- to 18-year-old school students. My passion to contribute more to the field of Computing Education motivated me to do step into the academic field of Computer Science Education Research. My PhD research at TU Wien Informatics focused on Algorithmic Problem solving with the Computer Science Unplugged approach. I conducted qualitative video analysis of children collaboratively solving a sorting task using special designed cards to find out more about students’ intuitive approaches on applying algorithms, such as sorting algorithms.
