Dr. Adams received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Ohio State University, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. From January 2011 until December 2012, he was an Intelligence Community Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Electromagnetics Laboratory at the University of Illinois. He joined the faculty at NC State in 2013. Prof. Adams is a Senior Member of the IEEE and is an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation and the IEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation. He is also a recipient of several national awards, including the DARPA Young Faculty Award, the U.S. Army Research Office Young Investigator Award, and an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.
