José Martínez is the Lee Teng-hui Professor of Engineering in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, a member of the graduate field of Computer Science, and a Faculty Fellow of the Atkinson Center for a Sustainable Future at Cornell. He is part of Cornell’s Computer Systems Laboratory. Professor Martínez was Associate Dean (2020-21) and Senior Associate Dean (2021-2024) for Diversity and Academic Affairs (a.k.a. Faculty Affairs) at Cornell Engineering. Before that, he was Associate Director of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Chair of the School’s computer engineering unit.
