Leila Afshari

About

Dr. Leila Afshari is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Management and currently serves as the Co-Leader of the Gender Equity and Organisations Theme at the Centre for Organisations and Social Change (COSC) at RMIT University. She joined RMIT in 2022 after serving as School Director-Graduate Research and Senior Lecturer at La Trobe University. Before entering academia, Dr. Afshari gained substantial industry experience, where she managed people, projects, and operations. This professional background continues to shape her research and teaching with a strong industry focus. Dr Afshari earned her PhD in Business and Management from RMIT University in 2017 and also holds a Bachelor's (Honours) in Engineering.
