Michael A. Bender is the John L. Hennessy Chaired Professor of Computer Science at Stony Brook University. His research focuses on algorithms, data structures, scheduling, and parallel computing, with applications to memory-sensitive systems. He has received numerous awards including IEEE and AAAS fellowships and best paper awards at major conferences. He also founded the company Tokutek, acquired by Percona in 2015.
