Minas Megalokonomos is a Research Affiliate at MIT CSAIL, where he has spent the past three years in the Kellis Lab working on Project Mantis, a platform that builds joint semantic maps of large, heterogeneous datasets that no single model can handle alone. The same cartography serves several domains: a joint embedding of 20,000 human genes with a chemical library of 121 million compounds supports the search for new drug candidates, and the methods extend to text, conversations, codebases, and market data. His work concentrates on the translational layer of the platform: the architecture, verification, and product decisions required to move laboratory results into dependable operation in fields such as government, healthcare, and finance.
