Nandlal L. Sarda

Dr. Nandlal L. Sarda was a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Bombay. He received his M.Tech. and PhD from IIT Bombay and joined faculty there in 1972. He served as Head of CSE Department (1994-97), Dean of Academic Programmes (2001-04), and Professor-in-Charge of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (2004-06). He was a Visiting Professor at University of New Brunswick (1986-88). His research interests include database systems, database modeling, spatio-temporal and geospatial databases, and software engineering. He has published widely and was Programme Co-chair of VLDB'96. He is a Fellow of Computer Society of India.
