Dr Patricia Pariona-Cabrera is a Senior Lecturer in People and Organisation at the School of Management at RMIT University. Patricia holds a PhD in human resource management (HRM). Her PhD illuminates how HRM practices moderate the effects of workplace violence on mental health. Findings from her study give a better understanding of the role of wellbeing oriented HRM practices to manage and mitigate the negative consequences of workplace violence on Australian nurses’ and personal care assistants’ (PCAs) mental health. Prior to completing her PhD she practised as a Psychologist with over 10 years of experience in Human Resource Management (HRM) working with clients and managing staff across community health services, welfare centres, and educational institutions.
