About

Robert C. Waag received the BEE and MS degrees in electrical engineering, and the PhD degree in communications engineering, all from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, in 1961, 1963, and 1965, respectively. He was a member of the technical staff at Sandia Laboratories, Albuquerque, NM, and then, served as an officer in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1969 at the Rome Air Development Center, Griffiss Air Force Base, NY. In 1969, he joined the faculty of the University of Rochester, where he is currently an Arthur Gold Yates Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, School of Engineering and Applied Science, and also holds an appointment in the Department of Imaging Sciences, School of Medicine and Dentistry. His current research interests include ultrasonic s
