About

Sarah is an Assistant Professor of the Practice at Vanderbilt’s College of Connected Computing. She teaches courses on AI ethics, responsible data science, and data storytelling. She completed her doctoral work in the Department of Teaching and Learning at Vanderbilt, where she researched teaching and learning about AI and ethics with middle school students. Prior to joining the College of Connected Computing faculty, she worked at the National Science Foundation EngageAI Institute, where she led AI ethics projects, including the design of a computer game for middle grade students to learn AI ethics, and was a Research Scientist at Vanderbilt’s LIVE Learning Innovation Incubator. She is a former public librarian and mom of two.
