About

Shaohua is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Before that, he got his Doctor of Science degree from ETH Zurich and both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from USTC. His research interests include programming language, software engineering, security, and systems. He is particularly interested in the reliability, performance, and security of emerging software systems, including both classic and AI software stacks. His research has been well-recognized by both academia and industry. He received a Distinguished Artifact Award from PLDI 2024, a Distinguished Artifact Award from ASPLOS 2024, a Distinguished Paper Award from OOPSLA 2023, and a Meta Security Research Award in 2022.
