About

Matsuo, a CCI research professor, is working on maturing Blockchain technology and security. He is acting co-chair of Blockchain Governance Initiative Network (BGIN), a multi-stakeholder discussion body for blockchain technology and governance. He founded BSafe.network, a neutral international research test network of 27 international universities to promote applied academic research in blockchain technologies. He's served on program committees on Blockchain technology and information security, and as program co-chair of Scaling Bitcoin 2018 Tokyo. He's led the security standardization project of Blockchain (ISO TC307).
