Sina Ahmadi

About

Sina Ahmadi is a doctoral student in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, based in Boston. He is advised by Peter Desnoyers. Since joining Khoury College in 2023, Sina has focused on cloud computing, storage systems, distributed systems, and operating systems. He enjoys finding ways to make existing systems work faster, more reliably, and with fewer errors, and he appreciates being in a field that has immediate and tangible impacts on industry. He is particularly interested in finding architectures that can more rapidly access the data required to perform computations, a key area of study as storage speeds continue to lag behind CPU speeds. Before joining Khoury College, Sina worked as a research assistant at both the Data Storage, Networks, & Processing (DSN
