Dr Ismail “Sol” Abdulhak is Program Manager and Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at the School of Management, RMIT University. He completed his PhD in Strategy and International Business at Monash University in 2021, where his research examined subsidiary-level performance dynamics, institutional distance, and foreign ownership strategies. Sol’s research sits at the intersection of international business, strategy, entrepreneurship, and innovation. His work examines how firms navigate complex institutional environments, adapt across borders, and sustain performance over time. Beyond the multinational enterprise, his research interests extend to reshoring, deglobalisation, innovation strategy, international entrepreneurship, and the changing nature of venture creation.
